Kelly and Tim

It was a gorgeous clear winter’s day in Noosa, when Kelly and Tim tied the knot in a beach ceremony at Little Cove. A beautiful muslin beach canopy was erected on the sand, and surrounding the ceremony area were white chairs with beige striped cushions that were accessorised by floral posies marking the aisle.
Kelly and Tim wanted an elegant coastal feel for their wedding day. “We both love the beach, and choosing the ceremony site was the easy part,” said Kelly. A memorable moment for Tim was as Kelly walked down the enchanting stairs from the cliff above the beach, and made her way to her groom, he was incredibly overwhelmed with the lovely sight of his bride. “Kelly looked a vision, it was really an amazing moment,” said Tim.
Kelly and Tim met as work colleagues, both sharing a love for beautiful teeth, Tim a dentist and Kelly a dental assistant, and they started dating after attending a work related seminar that quickly turned out to be the beginning of a wonderful romance.
Kelly and Tim wanted to have more of a dinner celebration than a traditional wedding reception, and were able to achieve that very feel with a stylish evening at Sails Restaurant Noosa. “One of the main reasons we chose Sails was because of the quality of food and wine, we wanted the evening to resemble an extravagant dinner party, and the end result exceeded our expectations,” said Kelly.
To help co-ordinate and plan their wedding day, Kelly and Tim engaged the services of Noosa wedding planner, Trudy Croad from Events by Design. “When we met with Trudy we asked her to create something simple yet stylish for our wedding day, we didn’t want any fluff, and our only request was for a relaxed ceremony, accompanied by an elegant formal dinner reception, after that we gave her complete creative licence over the entire day,” said Kelly.
Kelly and Tim, both incredibly busy with their careers wanted someone to take away the pressure of the wedding organisation. “Trudy was absolutely wonderful, full of ideas and enthusiasm, and so incredibly well organised,” said Kelly.
Trudy explained that the overall design was to be “elegant coastal” and this was achieved by using a neutral colour palette of beige, antique white and ivory. “We then added to this contrasting colour with green tip buds in the ivory based floral designs and lots of textured fabrics and furniture to create contrast throughout the day. Every detail of this wedding was scrutinised over by the Events by Design team and every element of the day was used to punctuate the senses,” said Trudy.
Creating two distinctive areas, Trudy and her team styled a unique chill out space for guests at the reception and the front deck was accessorised with vintage style arm chairs and ottomans with lots of seaside trinkets. “It was great to sit there at the beginning while the sun went down over the water, and then later in the evening it was a wonderful spot to just sit and relax,” said Kelly. The interior of the reception was transformed into an elegant dinner party setting with softly lit candles and sweet smelling floral designs.
Kelly and Tim chose not to have traditional speeches, and Tim was the only speaker of the evening. “We wanted our day to be individual to us, and to share the most special day in our lives with those who matter the most,” said Tim. Kelly and Tim successfully personalised their wedding day, with individual touches and this was showcased by their focus for an elegant celebration. “The whole day just blends as one incredible highlight, everything ran perfectly and I can honestly say it was the best day of my life and one that I will remember with great pleasure,” said Tim.
Kelly and Tim shared a quiet moment together on their wedding day, as they spent some valuable time together after their ceremony. “Everything that had unfolded seemed to be done just perfectly for us and looking back at it I can’t imagine that we would have changed a single thing,” said Kelly.
