Hannah & Amos
A candle lit mountain gazebo, with an elegant dinner sitting and an intimate proposal certainly set the bar high for the special wedding celebration of Hannah and Amos. “I had recently complained to Amos that we never do anything romantic anymore. Then on a Tuesday evening he picked me up in his Dad’s 1975 Bentley Rolls Royce and took me driving through the hinterland. Suddenly I saw a trail of fairy lights that led to a beautiful setting on an escarpment overlooking the Sunshine Coast. It then hit me what was about to unfold, it was the most romantic night of my life.” Hannah and Amos continued the mountain theme and were married at the Maleny Anglican Church by Amos’s mother who had recently become a celebrant.

With individual touches and original ideas Hannah and Amos created a day that wasn’t typical of traditional style. “The boys wore black cashmere and wool trench coats, and we selected the music we really wanted.” With vintage charm and beautiful feminine touches Hannah and Amos had the wedding of their dreams. “Being announced as Mr and Mrs Bartle while surrounded by our family and friends was the best part of our gorgeous wedding day.”

When Ben, originally from Queensland, met Laura who was from Victoria, at a house warming party in London, both knew they were smitten. “We were still talking away together at 7am the next morning, we suddenly realised that everyone else had gone home, and that was that, we were head over heels in love” said Laura.

After a romantic proposal on a seaside cliff in Portugal, Ben and Laura started wedding preparations from London. “We thought it would be difficult planning everything from overseas, but after deciding on gorgeous Maleny Manor to celebrate our wedding day our concerns were alleviated immediately. “The super organised Marlene from Maleny Manor took care of everything, she was truly a godsend” Laura exclaimed. Laura and Ben celebrated their wedding day with family and friends from all over the world, “ It was a magical day” said Laura. Ben got a wonderful surprise during the ceremony when Laura sang him a beautiful song that she had written especially for him. When asked what was the best part of the wedding day, both Laura and Ben in unison said “The Kiss!”. With special moments like this one has to believe that “love at first sight” is not just a fairytale.

After a whirlwind proposal in Sydney, Troy and Chrissy made preparations for their wedding day. Family and friends were an integral part of the celebrations. “We wanted to focus on what was really important, our love and commitment to each other and the privilege of sharing the occasion with our dearest friends and family ” said Chrissy.

It was very important to both Chrissy and Troy that each guest knew how special they were “ We made individual friendship letters that were handed out to each guest, as well as homemade treats of coconut ice and fudge which were a huge hit” said Chrissy. Troy also flew Chrissy’s best friend from London to Australia as a surprise. “ He conspired with the florist, venue and dressmaker to organise her attendance in the bridal party, I was blown away.”
Flowers were a focus for Chrissy, she had her heart set on ivory and pale pink Cymbidium orchids, but as the wedding date was just a touch early for the start of the Australian season, it was looking unlikely. “My floral designer Terrianne from Mondo Floral Designs waved her magic wand and flew some over from New Zealand, they were just gorgeous”. With a theme of Hollywood glamour, meets vintage elegance, Chrissy added special touches and intimate details to ensure their special day was memorable to both her and Troy but also with those most important to them, treasured family and friends.
