Emma & Davorin
Emma received an extraordinary memory on her 21st birthday after her soon to be husband Davorin surprised her with an adrenalin adventure skydive, disguised with a proposal. “I pulled into the skydiving centre and dared Emma to jump out of a perfectly good plane,” recalls Davorin. It took a little persuasion, but soon both Emma and Davorin were climbing to 14 thousand feet, and were then kindly asked to exit the aircraft.

Soon after safely landing on Currumundi Beach Davorin dropped to one knee and formally proposed to Emma. After such an eventful proposal Emma and Davorin thought it was fitting to celebrate their wedding day with a beach style theme. They chose Shelly Beach for their ceremony location, mainly due to childhood memories. “As a family we often holidayed in Caloundra, the rocks and waterfront of Shelley Beach held a special place in my heart,” said Emma.
Family connections were continued with Emma’s father officially marrying Emma and Davorin. “That was such a wonderfully special moment of our day, having a father who was also a Reverend to marry us,” recalls Emma. The beach style setting provided an alluring back drop for their wedding photography, which also included a private garden location in Buderim.
Beachfront celebrations continued through the evening with the reception being held at Maroochydore Surf Club. Aqua styling was prominent in the bridal party as well as the venue with butterflies and fairy lights creating subtle ambience and ocean views providing Emma and Davorin with their fairytale dream wedding.
Tahnee & John

After dating for seven years a surprise proposal to Tahnee was proving to be difficult to plan. Particularly because Tahnee always seemed to be busy in bridesmaid mode for her girlfriends’ weddings. So John took the opportunity to catch Tahnee off guard at a recent wedding for her friend in Perth. “He proposed the morning after my friend’s wedding, in a penthouse suite overlooking Scarborough beach.” With a gorgeous diamond and a stunning morning setting John put the final touches on his planned proposal. “ He put a diamond in the bottom of my champagne glass, I had no idea, and I nearly swallowed it!” John and Tahnee returned to Melbourne with the diamond and then had a stunning engagement ring designed.

With the ceremony at the tranquil Wirreanda Park in Buderim the newly married bride and groom then celebrated with family and friends at the renowned haven of Harry’s on Buderim. Tahnee summed up the special day “The weather was perfect and the setting was beautiful, and I married my best friend.”

After a whirlwind proposal in Sydney, Troy and Chrissy made preparations for their wedding day. Family and friends were an integral part of the celebrations. “We wanted to focus on what was really important, our love and commitment to each other and the privilege of sharing the occasion with our dearest friends and family ” said Chrissy.

It was very important to both Chrissy and Troy that each guest knew how special they were “ We made individual friendship letters that were handed out to each guest, as well as homemade treats of coconut ice and fudge which were a huge hit” said Chrissy. Troy also flew Chrissy’s best friend from London to Australia as a surprise. “ He conspired with the florist, venue and dressmaker to organise her attendance in the bridal party, I was blown away.”
Flowers were a focus for Chrissy, she had her heart set on ivory and pale pink Cymbidium orchids, but as the wedding date was just a touch early for the start of the Australian season, it was looking unlikely. “My floral designer Terrianne from Mondo Floral Designs waved her magic wand and flew some over from New Zealand, they were just gorgeous”. With a theme of Hollywood glamour, meets vintage elegance, Chrissy added special touches and intimate details to ensure their special day was memorable to both her and Troy but also with those most important to them, treasured family and friends.
